This unusual, forward-mounted jackshaft design dates back to the 1930s and saw industrial service at locations throughout the UK, but undoubtedly the most famous - and the engine on which this kit is based - was employed as Swindon Works' shunter, where it boasted fully lined-out GWR colours, topped off with a copper-capped chimney!

This 'deluxe' kit boasts a fully-detailed cab interior and many brass castings, including a complete bonnet assembly, bufferbeams and the distinctive Fowler radiator.
